The Ten Commandments of Netiquette
1. One must never use the Internet to express prejudice towards
another person.
2. One must never interfere with the computer work of another
person.
3. One must always use the computer with respect and
consideration toward other people.
4. One must never use the computer or Internet to steal from
another person.
5. One must never use the computer or Internet to speak falsely
about another person.
6. One must never go into someone else’s files without
permission from that person.
7. One must always consider the effects of the computer or
Internet on humanity.
8. One must never use someone else’s website or resources
without permission.
9. One must never steal someone else’s Internet property.
10. One must only use software programs that are offered free on
the Internet or that have been paid for by the user.
